Franklin Park Conservatory, Columbus, Ohio
Grand Garden & Wolfe Terrace
Phyto Studio is lead the concept and horticultural design of the first major project to be implemented as part of the new master plan for Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Gardens in Columbus, Ohio: an epic new entry garden that will transform the visitor experience. This 3.5-acre immersive perennial meadow will connect the soon-to-be-constructed visitor center to the historic Palm House, creating a dramatic and welcoming approach to the Conservatory. Acres of richly layered perennial plantings will fill the garden with dynamic seasonal interest, complemented by six iconic new water features that add movement and sound. Adjacent to the garden, a newly renovated Wolfe Terrace—designed by MKSK—will further enhance the arrival sequence, creating a grand and memorable welcome for guests.
